Corey Martin – Composer

Hello, my name is Corey Martin.

I am a composer based in Los Angeles, CA. I specialize in music for film and licensing. I’m currently finishing up a Bachelor of Music in Commercial Composition & Arranging from Azusa Pacific University.

I first entered the music business as an electric and upright bass player. Through time (and due to my short attention span) I discovered my passion for writing the music, not just playing it. My background is in rock, jazz, classical, orchestral and choral music.

Most of my work is done with sampling technology. I use primarily samples by Eastwest, Vienna Symphony Library, 8Dio, and Native Instruments. I work mostly on Logic Pro, but also am familiar with Pro Tools and Digital Performer. I also do live work, where I write, orchestrate, and conduct pieces that are prepared for orchestra, choir, or other ensemble.

I currently study under Hollywood composer and orchestrator Michael Watts and well as composer John Sponsler (Brand X Music).

Here is some of the work I’ve done. Some of these tracks are from films I’ve worked on while others were created for the purpose of advertising. Enjoy!
